Slightly better than other “whiskeys” — but only slightly, and that faint praise is the whole review. Whiskey is arguably the least forgiving spirit to strip: oak, heat and sweetness all come from barrel and proof, and remove the alcohol and you’re left trying to suggest a bonfire with a photograph of one. Monday get marginally closer than the field. Nobody is going to mistake it for the real thing.
