Bordering on too sweet, but refreshing and perfectly nice in a wine glass at a party — which is most of what’s being asked of it. Riesling carries residual sugar even with alcohol in it, so the dealcoholized version was always going to land on the sweet side. Cold enough and in the right glass, it does the social job well. Sipping it thoughtfully is where it runs out of road.
