This one is a struggle even by the low standards of the category. Non-alcoholic tequila is the hardest ask in the whole zero-proof aisle: so much of agave’s smoke and bite comes from the spirit itself that most attempts land somewhere between vegetal and medicinal. Even grading on that curve, this sits at the medicinal end and stays there. If you want the shape of a margarita without the alcohol, build it from something else entirely.
