I thought I’d love this one, which made the disappointment sharper than if I’d expected nothing at all. Toffee is a promising direction for non-alcoholic beer on paper: sweetness and body are exactly what tends to go missing. In practice it lands cloying rather than rich, and the sweetness has nothing pushing back against it. One of the more disappointing bottles here, purely because of how good the idea sounded.
