I thought I’d love this one, and it’s actually nasty — which is worse than if I’d expected nothing. Toffee is a promising direction for non-alcoholic beer on paper: sweetness and body are exactly what tends to go missing. In practice it lands cloying rather than rich. One of the more disappointing bottles here, purely because of how good the idea sounded.
